Paddling - Canoeing/Kayaking Take one of our canoes or kayaks out on the lake and explore the many quiet and interesting spots along its pristine, totally uninhabited shores.  Loons and beavers are regular inhabitants as are osprey, eagles and hawks. more... Trail Running Our 30 miles of maintained trails are ideal for running as well as hiking and mountain biking.  There are easy level trails as well challenging hills to conquer that will match runners of all ages and abilities.  Great for competition training! Geocaching Geocaching is the hot new outdoor activity that is sweeping across the world.  It's a real-world outdoor treasure hunting game that players use
GPS-enabled devices to find hidden containers and then share their experiences online.  Numerous locations are designated in the area around Garnet Hill Lodge.

Sun bathing Pull up an Adirondack chair and relax on our lawn overlooking the lake, or head on down to the beach and enjoy the sun and water up close. Star gazing Our location at 2000' above sea level and far from any city or lighted area, gives us some of the darkest skies to be found anywhere.  So bring your telescope or even a pair of binoculars and be wowed by the vast array of astronomical objects that can be seen on a clear night.
