XTERRA is the Classic Off-Road Triathlon

Swim (1K), Mt. Bike (20K) and Trail Run (8K)

Swim 1 Km. ( .6mile)
The swim course is on Thirteenth Lake and begins at the Garnet Hill Beach. (Just about across and back) Swim to Bike Transition will be at the beach area. Water temps are expected to be in the mid 60's F.

Mt. Bike 20K (12 miles)
Bikes will leave the beach area proceeding up the beach road to the ski trails and to the ski shop area (approximately 1mile). From here riders will do two loops on a 5.5 mile course consisting of ski trails, woods roads and single track. This is a totally rideable course with some steep uphills coupled with cruising downhills and great flowing singletrack. No hike-a-bikes here! The bike to run transition area will be near the ski shop. Helmets are required for the bike leg.

Trail Run 8K (4.8miles)
This is a great run course on woods roads and ski trails with a few short sections of single track trail. Runners will end the race crossing the finish line near the ski shop. Water/Feed stop is at the bike loop/ski shop transition, and halfway on the run leg.

Important: There are two transition areas. One is at the beach for the swim/bike transition and one at the ski shop for the bike/run transition. They are about 1 mile apart. Our shuttle van will be making runs between the ski/bike shop and the beach area Please position your equipment accordingly.
