To get to Garnet Hill Lodge from points south (including Albany and Saratoga Springs) take I-87, also called the Adirondack Northway, north, then take Exit 23 toward Warrensburg. After exiting, turn left onto Route 9/Diamond Point Road, cross the bridge over the interstate, and turn right at the traffic light to continue onto Route 9N.
Continue on Route 9N for 4.2 miles, then bear left onto NY-28 at the flashing yellow light. Continue on NY-28 for 21.2 mi, then turn left onto 13th Lake Road.
Follow 13th Lake Road for 4.4 mi and bear left as it becomes Garnet Hill Road Section 2. Continue straight ahead and you’ll reach the Log House.
To get to Garnet Hill Lodge from points west (like Old Forge and Forestport) take NY-28 to North River, then turn right onto 13th Lake Road. If you’re coming from southwest of the Lodge (Utica area), you can take NY-8N until it intersects with NY-30 in Speculator. Then, turn right onto NY-28 and continue a short way before turning right onto 13th Lake Road.
Follow 13th Lake Road for 4.4 mi and bear left as it becomes Garnet Hill Road Section 2. Continue straight ahead and you’ll reach the Log House.
If you’re coming from the northwest (Wanakena, Cranberry Lake), take State Route 3E until it intersects with NY-30S in Tupper Lake, then continue on NY-30S until you reach Long Lake. From Long Lake, take NY-28N to NY-28. If you’re coming from the northeast (Keeseville, Elizabethtown), take I-87S to Exit 26. Take Route 9 until it intersects with 28N in North Creek, then turn right onto NY-28.
Continue on NY-28 until you reach 13th Lake Road (on your right if coming from the northwest, on your left if coming from the northeast), then follow 13th Lake Road for 4.4 mi and bear left as it becomes Garnet Hill Road Section 2. Continue straight ahead and you’ll reach the Log House.
If you’re coming from the east (Rutland and Killington, Vermont), take US-4 W to Fort Ann, then turn right onto NY-149 W. Continue for 11.7 mi, then merge onto I-87 N. From there, follow the “from the south” instructions above.
