When: Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 9am -4pm.
The morning will be spent at the Garnet Hill Outdoor Center learning about species in the Adirondacks, their habits and diet, flies to use, what times of year to use these flies etc., fly rods and reels, different lines and their purposes, and differences between pond fishing versus wading in rivers such as the nearby Hudson River. We will end the morning teaching the proper casting techniques, and then break for lunch.
Lunch will be provided by Garnet Hill Lodge and is included in the price of the workshop.
In the afternoon, we will take you out onto the water for some hands-on practical experience and instruction.
When: Sunday, May 26, 2019 from 8am -12pm.
Join the workshop group for this optional second day of the workshop. We will head out for a half-day fly fishing trip tailored to meet the needs of the group. Snacks and water will be provided.
