Day One: Wednesday, June 9, 2021

4 p.m. – 5 p.m. – Guided hike on our beautiful cross-country ski trails
5:15 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. – 30-minute Yoga Session led by Michele Pearsall
6:30 p.m. – Welcome & information reception with healthy hors d’oeuvres & hand-picked wines
7 p.m. – 8 p.m. – Dinner in our Log House Restaurant featuring a special, health-conscious menu created by Chef Michael Crandall
8:30 p.m. – Enjoy our beautiful outdoor fire pit
Day Two: Thursday, June 10, 2021
7:30 a.m. – “Salute the Sun” 30-minute Yoga Session
8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. – Breakfast in our Log House Restaurant
10 a.m. – 11 a.m. – Educational session – Learn how to create behavioral changes, the stages of change, and how to implement them into your lifestyle.
11 a.m. – noon – Group workout – a combination of functional fitness, yoga, and compound movements with dumbbells (high intensity). Note: options are always included based on personal needs and fitness levels.
Noon – Lunch in our Log House Restaurant or enjoy a guided hike and packed lunch
1:30 p.m. – Choice of “Intro into Mountain Biking” led by Kate Kuklinski or “Intro into Trail Running” led by Michele
3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. – Choice of a Stand-Up Paddle Boarding Clinic (learn proper paddling techniques and explore a few yoga postures with Michele) or Kayaking Clinic (enjoy a relaxing kayak tour with Patrick & Kate)
4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Mindful Meditation workshop with Donna Hier
6 p.m. – Dinner in our Log House Restaurant featuring a special, health-conscious menu (with vegetarian and gluten-free options available) created by Chef Michael Crandall

All costs outlined below include the following: accommodations for Thursday & Friday night, dinner on Wednesday & Thursday evening, the wine tasting on Thursday evening, full breakfast on Thursday & Friday, lunch on Thursday, all sessions listed above, and the use of our kayaks, mountain bikes, and stand-up-paddle boards.

To ensure all participants get the most out of their experience and to adhere to Covid-19 safety measures, we will limit this retreat to the first 10 guests who make a reservation.
All hike leaders are licensed guides and wilderness first aid responders.
Michele Pearsall, Manager of Garnet Hill Lodge’s Outdoor Center, will lead the majority of the educational workshops and classes. Michele has a Masters in Community Health, is an ACE Personal Trainer (American Council on Exercise), Functional fitness specialist (ACE), 200-hour RYT and Phoenix Rising Yoga therapy Level I, as well as World Paddle Association Paddle instructor and SUP Yoga Certified. She has over 30 years of experience in health and wellness including teaching at the collegiate level. She is a Level II PSIA Alpine and Nordic Instructor.
Since 2008, Anna Bowers has been the owner of bV cellars where she is the director of the bV wine club and where she recently launched the Juice Box: Virtual Wine Tastings for the Enthusiastic & Curious. Anna loves creating fun, interactive experiences that demystify wine and encourage people to try new things. Anna will lead the group through an informative and fun wine tasting.
Kate Kuklinski is an Outdoor Center staff member who will lead hikes and offer an intro session on Mountain biking. Kate grew up in the Adirondack Park and has degrees in Outdoor Adventure Sports and Environmental Studies with a focus on Ecology. She holds a level II AASI certification, a level I Nordic Certification and is pursuing a graduate degree in Forest Resources as a research assistant at the University of Maine. Her research focuses on mountain biking in rural communities. In her spare time, you can find her mountain biking, reading, or out in the woods with her husky.
Patrick Murray will lead hikes and kayak tours. Patrick is a licensed guide and has been an employee at Garnet Hill for six years. He is a valued member of our Outdoor Center Staff, and he has a vast knowledge of the history of Garnet Hill. He is Level II Alpine and Level I Nordic.
