Whether you’re looking to wind down with a hearty meal after your outdoor adventure or satisfy your cravings for a perfectly cooked burger, our Log House Restaurant is the place to be. With new seasonal menus available, happy hours to enjoy, and the restaurant’s latest renovations complete, we welcome everyone to stop by for an Adirondack-inspired dinner.
Conveniently located on-site in our historic Lodge, The Log House is a family friendly restaurant and pub that offers delicious American cuisine in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The rustic setting and large stone fireplace give the restaurant a cozy cabin-like feel, and you can enjoy amazing views of the nearby mountains and Thirteenth Lake while eating in the dining room.
Our restaurant is open to overnight guests, day-trippers, locals, and anyone else who loves passionately prepared food made from scratch with fresh, authentic ingredients. The well-rounded dinner menu has something for everyone, and we like to shake things up and feature new dishes each season.
Most recently, our diners have raved about the elk burger (made with ground elk from Mariah Elk Farm in Upstate New York), the elk strip steak with sweet potato corn hash, and the venison short loin with fig & poblano mole. You can also expect entrees such as striped bass, smoked pork belly, and garden vegetable risotto, just to name a few.
The Log House’s full bar has a great selection of wines and local draft and bottled beers to complement your meal. And, if you stay overnight at the Lodge, then you can wake up and have a nice hot breakfast in the morning – complimentary to all guests.
To ensure that we offer the best possible dining experience, we’ve worked hard over the years to constantly improve The Log House Restaurant. During 2020, we renovated the kitchen and welcomed our new Executive Chef Michael Crandall to help innovate the menus and cook up delicious food.
Crandall has over 25 years of executive chef experience at prominent hotels, and prior to joining our team in March 2020, he served as executive chef at the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls. His specialty is classic American cuisine with an Adirondack twist, and he aims to use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
In addition to these changes, we temporarily closed the restaurant this past spring to install traditional wood flooring. Now, with an updated look and new dishes to try, there’s no reason not to check out The Log House Restaurant the next time you’re in the Adirondacks.
Although The Log House is always an excellent dining option, our other on-site restaurant is well worth a visit too. Named the Bobcat Bar & Grill, this casual eatery is located on the second floor of the Garnet Hill Outdoor Center, which is right by the entrance to our multi-use trail system.
After a fun-filled day of hiking or mountain biking on the trails, you can easily relax and grab a bite to eat at the Bobcat. The restaurant is currently open for lunch daily (11AM – 3PM) and serving up tasty menu items like the cheesesteak panini, Bobcat Burger (6 oz. brisket blended burger), and other pub fare. Craft-beer enthusiasts looking to quench their thirst will also be excited to know that the Bobcat features local brews.
Ready to eat, drink, and have a memorable dining experience in the Adirondacks? Plan a visit to The Log House Restaurant or the Bobcat Bar & Grill. The Log House is offering happy hour specials on wine & beer every Friday night from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Takeout orders can be placed online or over the phone.
