Festivities begin with guests arriving Friday afternoon to discover the resort’s many outdoor activities (canoeing, tennis, beach, hiking, biking, etc.) or to relax in one of the Inn’s many quiet corners.
The celebration continues Friday evening with a rehearsal/welcome dinner. There are many possibilities at Garnet Hill to create unique rehearsal dinners. Options include a barbecue, plentiful buffet style dinner on the front porch, or a sit down dinner in front of the fireplace.
After a hearty breakfast Saturday morning, guests are free to indulge in more of the resort’s activities or explore the local surroundings.
Organize a casual event featuring a sandwich buffet or a more formally catered affair. This is the perfect way to keep the afternoon special, yet low key as you get ready for your big moment. We also offer bagged lunches if your guests would like to use this time to set off on an adventure or enjoy the lake.
A champagne toast to the bride and groom with the sun setting in the horizon is the perfect way to begin the evening’s festivities. After all of the traditional photo ops, guests continue the celebration with dinner and dancing to the beat of a live band or DJ.
Sunday breakfast, served a little bit later than the usual breakfast, is the ideal time for the guests to congratulate the new bride and groom and to bid farewell before departing.
Summer and fall is our peak wedding season with weddings available in late June, September & October. During these months, we can accommodate up to 130 guests, in a wedding that features a outdoor ceremony overlooking the mountains and lake, a dinner reception in the Log House, and dancing under the starts in a tent on our front lawn.
From November through early June, we offer indoor weddings accommodating up to 75 guests in a cozy indoor wedding in the Log House. The ceremony, dinner, and dancing will all take place with the backdrop of our huge garnet stone fireplace and wooden beams that define the charming Adirondack architecture of our building. The atmosphere is made all the more spectacular by the panoramic mountain views through the windows of our dining room.
During summer and fall wedding season, as well as ski season (January-March), we require wedding couples to guarantee all rooms will be taken on both the Friday and Saturday nights of the wedding weekend. This allows you and your guests to have exclusive use of the Lodge for the entire weekend.
