Spring at Garnet Hill Lodge is about taking advantage of the snow and ice melting and enjoying versatile sports as we transition from one season to another.
Spring is the beginning of being able to take advantage of the hundreds of ponds, rivers and lakes that the Adirondacks is famous for. As the snow begins to melt in mid April, the Hudson River swells, making for fantastic whitewater rafting for the daredevils out there. By May, it is the ideal time for fly fishing and the peak of trout season.
Back on land, there is plenty to do as well. Enjoy our hiking trails with snowshoes then hiking boots as the snow disappears, and ride the single-track bike trails on fat bikes whether there is snow, mud or hard-packed dirt. Be prepared to get muddy!
