Cross-Country Ski Rentals Near Me? Yes!

Garnet Hill Lodge is home to some of the prettiest, most challenging cross-country skiing in New York. You won’t find such an extensive network of trails, cross-country ski rentals, or such knowledgeable staff anywhere else in the area.

We have a wide selection of skis, boots, and poles for all sizes and ages, for a variety of cross-country styles, including skate, backcountry and classic, and will be happy to create the the right equipment package for your needs. While the ski rentals have been used before, our team (as well as past guests) makes certain that each item remains in pristine condition.

For just $35 per day, you’ll be given all of the essentials for a genuinely unforgettable day in the Adirondacks. The Outdoor Center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily during ski season, and our PSIA-certified instructors offer lessons to beginners and those who want to improve their skills.

Go Cross-Country Skiing in the Adirondacks

Now that you’ve found cross-country ski rentals right here at Garnet Hill Lodge, it’s time to trek into the serene wilderness.

Each Adirondack adventure is unique because we have over 55 kilometers of intertwining, meticulously-groomed cross-country ski trails in our network. Trail passes cost $30 per day, but they’re entirely free for overnight guests! Because these scenic, winding trails sit at an elevation of 2,000 feet, there’s typically snow from Thanksgiving through mid-April. We wouldn’t be able to offer guests the premier cross-country skiing in Upstate New York without our massive outdoor playground—consult our detailed map to start planning your next Adirondack ski vacation.

We Also Have Backcountry Skiing & Snowshoeing

If you’re searching for cross-country ski rentals, it’s possible you’ve never heard of backcountry skiing. While the Adirondack backcountry trails near Garnet Hill aren’t groomed during the wintertime, they’re well-marked and easily visible on a map. Backcountry skiing is a particularly strenuous exercise after a heavy snowfall, so we recommend this activity to experienced skiers only.

If you are looking to get out into the backcountry but are a less experienced skier, snowshoeing may be the activity for you!  You can rent snowshoes for just $20 a day from the Garnet Hill Outdoor Center. There’s a seemingly endless winter wonderland at your disposal for snowshoers, including lakes, mountains, and marked trails, and we offer both snowshoe and backcountry ski tours.
