Garnet Hill Lodge is an Adirondack gem among the upstate New York wedding venues. Our romantic lodge provides gorgeous lake and mountain vistas on 700 acres and offers every amenity needed for any type of wedding ceremony.
Even with everything the lodge has to offer, we rely on one person to make wedding ceremonies happen in a way that’s made dozens of couples and their families look back with fond memories of their wedding weekend. She’s ready to take your wedding plans to the next level and make sure everything from the lodging to the ceremony to the celebration goes off without a hitch.

Nicole LaBounty has enjoyed her role as Garnet Lodge’s sales manager/event specialist since 2016. A big part of her job is working with couples on wedding planning, and she’s always up to the challenge.
“I jumped at the opportunity right away because this role allows me to use my creativity and event knowledge to help couples see their wedding vision become a reality,” she said. “It’s all in the details!”
LaBounty has planned dozens of upstate New York weddings at the lodge in every season and finds the job both fun and rewarding.
“The best is seeing the smiles on the wedding couples faces and hearing their words of praise for how well the event turns out,” she said. “Most importantly, the staff at Garnet Hill lodge is amazing and fun to work with and that shows in our great reviews. Everyone at the lodge works well together and knows how to make everything from the ceremony to the reception run smoothly.”
LaBounty explained that the most common questions she gets from couples are about how they can personalize their wedding day to make it even more special.
“I encourage wedding couples to incorporate meaningful details that reflect their unique story and personalities,” she said. “This might be based on a special decor that reflects their hobbies and interests or signature cocktails that show off their fun personalities and tastes.”
Because the gorgeous outdoor views at Garnet Hill Lodge provide an ideal backdrop for weddings, LaBounty noted the timing of different aspects of the ceremony and reception are important.
“I provide a sample timeline and encourage couples to help them create the timeline that best fits their vision,” she said. “We want to be sure to take advantage of all the lodge’s amenities and the views we have to offer, including those beautiful sunset photo opportunities.”

LaBounty pointed out that one of the key things that make weddings at the Lodge special is that they can use several unique spaces on the property that can be used when planning ceremonies and receptions, depending on the needs of the couple.
“We have beautiful outdoor spaces for ceremonies and photos such as our spacious front lawn and our new pavilion can be used for dancing during the reception,” she said. “Because we’re in the Adirondacks, temperatures dictate how many guests we can accommodate at certain times of year. During our peak season from June to October, we primarily offer weekend weddings.”
Because Garnet Hill Lodge takes a wedding weekend approach, LaBounty emphasized that guests and the couple have a much more memorable event than a traditional wedding.
“Everyone arrives the day before the wedding event, giving them more time to spend together and making more memories than you can get from a one-day event,” she said. “With the departure day being the day after the wedding, guests can attend the farewell breakfast and spend even more time with one another. It’s a much more enjoyable way to wind down the celebration.”
