We’re ramping up into full-on summer mode here at Garnet Hill. Last weekend was a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, a great start to the busy summer season at the Lodge, and we’re looking forward to a busy fun-filled season. Take a peak at what summer vacations at Garnet Hill look like.
Jamie Frasier and his guides at Adirondack Mountain and Stream Guide Services had some great fishing trips this spring, from ice-fishing in March to some wonderful, warm weather during the trout season in May. Check out more photos from his Spring 2018 trips by clicking the link below.
Carrie Kaufman and her group had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend Yoga and Kayak Retreat. She reports “It was a great group – hiking despite the black flies was great. Kayaking was the highlight and the yoga was amazing. Food and hospitality were exemplary as always.” You may have noticed that the yoga sessions during the weekend were open to the public as well as to retreat participants. If you are tempted by these retreats, there is another one coming up in August.
We have just launched a new series of excursions with local business partners that guests may purchase as an add-on to their stay at Garnet Hill. These include fishing, rail biking, whitewater rafting and canoe trips, as well as tickets to local museums and theme parks. There are options for every season, allowing guests to enjoy activities at Garnet Hill and in the local area. Check it out and plan your own action-packed vacation.
The Garnet Hill Outdoor Center will be open 7 days a week all summer long beginning June 16. Hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday 8:30am to 5pm. This is the spot to purchase mountain bike trail passes, rent bikes, and get advice on hiking or biking trails in the area. Canoe, kayak and tennis equipment is also available for use by hotel guests. As we did in the winter, we will be running tours each weekend for both guests and non-guests. Check the Outdoor Center Homepage for weekly hiking and kayak tour schedules.
