Thanks to all who made it out to Garnet Hill for the Ride On event this Sunday, presented by WPM Trails and The Hub. It was wonderful spending the morning with everyone and great to see so many people out exploring the trails.
Ride On! was a two-day event showcasing the fantastic mountain biking facilities in Warren County. Bikers collected tokens at each of the parks that could be redeemed for drinks at the after party each day. The weekend started out at Gurney Lane Mountain Bike Park in Queensbury, then moved on to Brant Lake Bike Park in Brant Lake for the afternoon, and ended at The Hub for the after party. On Sunday the day started here at Garnet Hill. Bikers arrived between 10 and 11 and headed out in groups to ride Double Downs and many of our other trails. The Bobcat Lounge in the Garnet Hill Outdoor Center was open for bikers to get some lunch as they got off the trails before heading to the next destination.
Around 1 o’clock, people began to filter out and head to their final location, Gore Mountain Ski Bowl. They explored the park, collected their tokens and then headed to the after party for the day at Beck’s Tavern. It was a great event and it was a pleasure to be a part of it. We hope everyone had a wonderful time and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
If you couldn’t make this event, don’t worry! Garnet Hill trails are free to use all summer and fall. Our mountain biking terrain features 5 miles of new, dedicated single-track mountain biking trails in the Log House area as well as an extensive network of pre-existing single-track trails, cross country ski trails and dirt and gravel roads. The new trails were built to the highest standards by Wilderness Property Management, a local expert in the bike world, and designed specifically for mountain bikers. Some of our trails feature fantastic views of the Adirondack’s high peaks, while on others, you will find yourself in a serene wooded setting. Even if you don’t have your own mountain bike, don’t worry. Bike Rentals are available to all visitors, and rentals are included in your stay if you are a guest at Garnet Hill Lodge.
