Don’t wait until Christmastime to plan an amazing holiday getaway to the Adirondacks with your family. We have the mountain and lake views, on-site activities and guided tours, and of course an epic Thanksgiving dinner – with no cooking or cleanup for you.
Get an idea of how a Thanksgiving weekend getaway with us at Garnet Hill Lodge can go, and then reserve your accommodations now for the 2023 holiday before we book up.
Arrive on Wednesday in time for dinner at the Log House Restaurant, where you’ll get a taste of the outstanding dishes Chef Michael prepares. Enjoy a beverage in the lodge with your family in front of a roaring fire before turning in.
We offer several different room and cottage options, depending on your needs and how large your group is. Log House balcony rooms offer scenic views, standard rooms have easy access to the Log House Restaurant and lobby, and then the two cottages offer more spacious accommodations best suited for families.
Dine in style overlooking the beautiful Adirondack mountains as you enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner buffet. Chef Michael always outdoes himself with a fantastic feast.
Start your holiday meal with appetizers like the famous Log House onion pie or cranberry and brie bites. Indulge in the chef-carved roast turkey and sliced roast pork loin with turkey and pan gravies. Take your pick of nine exquisite sides, like jalapeno cornbread and brown sugar baby carrots, and save room for dessert: apple, pumpkin, and blueberry pies, plus mint chocolate mousse.
The festivities continue the next day, when you can stay on-site for outdoor activities or head out to nearby Adirondack towns to start your holiday shopping. After of course, enjoy a full, complimentary breakfast from the Log House – included for every guest – to fuel you up before you go.
Indian Lake is always decked out for the Christmas season, beginning with the annual Christmas Country Tour that takes place over Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Follow the Indian Lake Country Christmas Tour on Facebook for details, and to plan where to go.
We’re also close to the Hudson River Trading Co. that sells unique, Adirondack-themed gifts, and other shops and galleries in nearby North Creek and Chestertown.
Regardless of whether Thanksgiving is still bringing the fall vibes, or if the snow is already coming down, we have the on-site trails for hiking and biking, or snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
Overnight guests always have free access to the trails, and if you need snowshoe rentals or other gear, our Outdoor Center is here to serve. We have everything you need to get back to nature in the Adirondacks this holiday season. Explore with your group, or let us take you on a guided tour.
Head home on Sunday filled with memories of fun outings with your loved ones and delicious food you can’t wait to come back and enjoy again.
Start a new tradition this year when you whisk your family away to the Adirondacks for an incredible four-day holiday weekend. We do sell out for our holiday weekends, so book today to secure your seat at the table!
