It’s the start of the holiday week at Garnet Hill, and we’re kicking it off with a bang.  Here’s what’s going on at Garnet Hill this weekend (12/21/18 – 12/23/18):

Friday Happy Hour

Friday @ 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Join us at the Log House Pub for happy hour every Friday from 4pm to 7pm.    $3 wine and $3 draft beer.  10 for $10 wings and a complimentary selection of cheese crackers and nuts.  The last Friday of every month is Oyster Night, featuring a raw bar instead of our complimentary appetizers. Oysters are $1.50 each.

Winter Weekend Snowshoe Tours

Saturday and Sunday

We are offering a guided snowshoe tour  up the Balm of Gilead on Saturday at 1pm and out to Hooper Mine at 10am on Sunday.  These treks are a great way to get out in the woods and learn about local history along the way.  They are free to guests and $10 to non-guests.  Please inquire at the Front Desk or the Outdoor Center for details and to sign up.  Stop by or call (518) 251-2444.   Snowshoe rental is $10.  Seasonal hiking tours continue on weekends year-round.

Moonlight Snowshoe Tour

December 22, 2019 @ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Join us on a beautiful moonlight snowshoe tour to admire the light of the moon.  These special evenings are timed for weekends that fall on or near the full moon.  Tours last for about an hour and a half and take you into the woods near Garnet Hill and up to a wonderful vantage spot where you will be able to admire the night sky in all of it’s brilliance, surrounded by the peace and darkness of the Adirondacks.  After your tour, we invite you to join us by the fireplace in our cozy Log House for fondue and a glass of beer or wine.

Tickets are $20 for non-guests and $10 for lodging guests.  Kids 12 and under are half price.

Please bring a headlamp if you have one.  We do have some headlamps for participants but supplies are limited.

Bobcat Après-Ski

Saturday @ 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Join us after skiing on a Saturday afternoon to relax and watch the game in our brand new facility on the second floor of the Outdoor Center.  Get nachos or wings and a beer or glass of wine for $10.
