Posted in Garnet Hill Promotions, General, Winter at Garnet Hill

Wondering how you are going to make it through a socially distanced winter?  How about getting outdoors and enjoying some fresh Adirondack mountain air.  There’s no better way to relieve stress than strapping on some skis or snowshoes and hitting the trails. Whether your taste is the peace and tranquility of a snowshoe through the woods, a workout on the cross country ski trails or the adrenaline rush from downhill skiing, the Adirondack mountains have it all.  Within a matter of weeks, the mountains will be blanketed in fresh white snow that lends itself to an unforgettable Upstate New York Winter Getaway. Adding to the allure of an Adirondack winter retreat, Garnet Hill Lodge, located in the heart of the southern Adirondack mountains, has comfortable accommodations, rustic charm, excellent dining and stunning mountain views.

In addition to our extensive trail network, we have a full service ski center offering a wide range of equipment rentals and a ski school offering lessons for those of all abilities.  So, with downhill skiing so close and first class cross country skiing right from our front door it’s no wonder so many choose to stay at Garnet Hill Lodge while skiing in the Adirondacks.

Things to Do in the Adirondack Mountains

As much as we love knowing our guests share our passion for skiing, we encourage you to venture out and immerse yourself in the Adirondack Mountains. There are excellent trails for snowshoeing both on property and in the adjacent Siamese Ponds Wilderness area. Or try fat tire mountain biking with rentals available from our ski center. The oversized wheels used on fat-tire bikes make winter biking in the snow not only possible but great fun. If those don’t seem right for you, how about a guided ice fishing trip with Adirondack Mountain and Stream – another great Adirondack winter activity.
