Romantic Getaways to Upstate NY

Posted in General, Newsletters, Things to Do, Winter at Garnet Hill

We’re hastily approaching the “Month of Love” here in the ultra-romantic, snow-covered Adirondack Mountains. What a snow storm!

Posted in General, Newsletters, Winter at Garnet Hill

This storm was sweet but came with some challenges. A snow plow got stuck in the parking lot, power lines went down, and trees ended up on the trails and across roads.  But Garnet Hill has never been afraid of a little snow.  We remained open for business during the power outage thanks to our generators up at the lodge and a positive attitude and determination from the staff both at the Lodge and down…

As Featured in Newsday – Where to Stay at Gore Mountain

Posted in Garnet Hill Lodge in the Press, General, Newsletters, Winter at Garnet Hill

“Ski resorts with the best lodges: Where to stay in Vail, Lake Tahoe, Gore Mountain, more.. At least it’s not too wide in the case of the Garnet Hill Lodge, which is less than 20 minutes from Gore Mountain; Garnet Hill even sells lift tickets so you don’t have to stand in line at the resort. It is hard to believe that the summer months are over and the kids are already back at school.  It was a wonderful summer here at Garnet Hill with plenty of hot days spent in 13th Lake or rafting down the Hudson River.  Though we do love the lazy days of summer and the extra time we often find to spend with our families and friends, we are  looking forward to fall here at Garnet…

April Newsletter

Posted in General, Newsletters

This April has been a wintry one, even by Adirondack standards.  As much as I would have liked to include a beautiful spring photo with daffodils, the above picture is closer to the truth.  This was taken a few weeks ago out on the trails, although as the month draws to a close the snow is now disappearing quickly.  Spring is a unique season in the North Creek Area that locals know well.  Now that…
